Peggy separated from Ned and moved to Broadwater Down. Rosemary started Teacher Training College and Anne continued at Tunbridge Wells Girls Grammar School.

It was probably a bit like coming home because her grandfather had been a bailiff on a property further along Broadwater Down at Hargate Lodge. She was very fond of her nan and grandad.
